I love working with:
Kids! All kids, especially foster youth (current and former) who enter my orbit.
Just seeing this picture takes me immediately back to this place. A feeling I especially appreciate when it's a scorching summer in California.
My fave ways to find joy + ease:
Depending on my mind state, I really love finding solitude in nature. That could be sitting on a beach with my eyes closed and taking in the heightened senses that take over. That's probably my favorite because i intently focus on the feel of the sun on my face, how the sand squishes under my feet, the smell of the salt water wafting through my nose, and the sounds of the waves that beckons my breathing to join in on the same cadence of movement.

Cindy is, without question, one of the most effective government humans we’ve seen. She knows the in’s and out’s, how to connect the dots, how to spot possibilities and, at every step of the way, is thinking about how to best help the young people in her orbit.
